This web site is dedicated to the promotion and training using the Principal and findings of Benno Von Achenbcah Published in His Book Anspannen und fahran (Hitching and Driving ) in 1922.
This book was only published in German until recently when it was painstakingly translated into English by Sandy Lerner at Ayrshire Farm in Upperville Virginia . This book is available in our store in various additions along with a DVD highlighting some of his methods in the book.
The overall theme in Achenbcah teaching is compassion and the well being of the horse from the correct fitting of harness ,and consistent training .
